Vanderbilt, long held in high regard as an academic institution and this year a winner at the rink, as well, has placed 11 players on the 2011 South Eastern Collegiate Hockey Conference All-Academic Team.

The I-40 Face-Off: EVENT INFORMATION
The Vanderbilt Club Ice Hockey program is proud to announce the scheduling of the inaugural I-140 Face-Off versus the University of Tennessee Volunteers to be played at Bridgestone Arena!
Date & Time
Saturday, March 26th, 2011 (prior to the Nashville Predators vs. Dallas Stars game). The puck will drop at 1pm.
Ticket Price
FREE Admission for the I-40 Face-Off; those wishing to stay for the Predators game will need to purchase a separate ticket

The I-40 Face-Off: TICKET INFORMATION
This year’s inaugural I-40 Face-Off would not be a reality without the support of Nashville’s own NHL franchise, the Nashville Predators. In return for the opportunity to skate, the Vanderbilt and Tennessee club ice hockey programs are happy to help the organization sell tickets as Shea Weber, Mike Fisher, and the rest of the team look to secure a top playoff spot in the stretch run of the season.

* Note that the I-40 Face-Off game is 100% FREE to attend. If you would like to stay for the Predators vs. Dallas Stars game, you will need to purchase a ticket from the team’s website or Ticketmaster. Many of the Vanderbilt and Tennessee players and their families will be staying at the arena to attend the game so feel free to email vuhockey@gmail.com for information about sitting with the larger group.
‘Dores Look to Go All NHL ’94 on the ‘Dawgs In Weekend Set
Looking to rebound from last weekend’s road shellacking at the hands of Ole Miss, the Vanderbilt hockey team will face another SEC rival, the Mississippi State Bulldogs, here in Nashville on Friday and Saturday, 1/28 and 1/29. Both games will start at 10:15pm so be sure to eat a hearty dinner, pack a blanket or two, and get ready for some after hours (and pre-karaoke) action.
